ABOUT THE ROLE  
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting in the Accounting department, the Accounts Receivable & Accounting Coordinator is responsible for accounting and finance activities related to billing and collections, TTC intercompany reconciliation, business to business customer billing, bank and credit card fees reconciliation, loss revenue compensation and preparation of audit schedules. As a strong communicator and natural business partner, you’ll liaise with the various functional teams across TPA and collaborate with others by building relationships with all stakeholders. The Accounts Receivable & Accounting Coordinator will support a culture of continuous improvement and control to manage risk and increase efficiency and effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the accounts receivable process, including tracking outstanding invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely collections from customers
  • Participate in month-end/year-end closing processes and reconciliation of general ledger accounts: AR Subledger; Related Parties; Intercompany; Allowance for Doubtful Accounts
  • Review AR aging to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; prepare and post bad debt provision as required
  • Generate and send invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies; investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries
  • Initiating collections on past-due accounts and working with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment disputes
  • Review and analyze all credit cards, mobile, banking fees and interest earned
  • Document and monitoring of internal controls and process improvements
  • Perform customer account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and external audit requirements
  • Assisting in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process
  • Implement and maintain reporting procedures and processes to comply with internal control requirements and manage risk
  • Maintain well organized electronic archive of financial documentation for all transactions.
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education with a business, finance or accounting focus is required
  • 2 years’ progressive experience in an accounting and/or Accounts Receivable department
  • Strong understanding of receivables processes, collections, and customer account management
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to TPA Core Values
  • Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, sound initiative, critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills, ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, identify and resolve problems independently and in a timely manner
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred
  • Self-driven with attention to detail and ability to consistently generate a high-quality work product is critical
  • Excellent relationship building skills in order to develop and sustain client partnerships as well as working in a cross functional environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to change, is proactively flexible
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, especially Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, “if” and “V/H Lookup” and other financial functions)
  • Possess high degree of professionalism, integrity and respect for confidentiality
